A&M Architects has been honored with the Special Award for Unbuilt Project at the 100% Hotel Design Awards 2025 for Onos Hotel Santorini, an upcoming hospitality development currently in progress on the island of Santorini.
The awards highlight exceptional design approaches in the hotel industry, recognizing projects that contribute fresh thinking to contemporary hospitality. Receiving this distinction supports the design direction taken for Onos and reflects the project’s intention to create an experience rooted in place, atmosphere, and materiality.
About the Project
Onos Hotel Santorini reimagines the relationship between architecture and landscape. The design explores a more understated and grounded sense of luxury, drawing inspiration from the geological textures, soft gradients of the volcanic terrain, and the spatial qualities of Cycladic architecture.
Key principles guiding the proposal include:
- Integrating the built form with the natural contours of the site
- Emphasizing calm, immersive spatial transitions
- Using a refined palette of natural materials
- Creating a hospitality experience that balances privacy and openness
As the project moves forward, the team continues to refine the architectural and interior design elements that define its identity.
A Note of Appreciation
We extend our thanks to the jury and organizers of the 100% Hotel Design Awards for recognizing the design vision behind Onos.
Congratulations to the entire project team for their dedication and thoughtful work!
