OVERVIEW

The international shipping company Euronav, decided to relocate its Athens office. A&M was awarded the design & construction of the new premises that occupy 2.150 M2 of the building, distributed in 2 levels. The main design objective was to organize the spaces in an open plan layout and create a special work environment with the potential to extend workstations for future needs. The general layout pushed all open plan areas along the perimeter of the building to maximize natural light for these spaces and benefit from the city’s view. The internal zones allowed spaces to be composed in clusters of meeting rooms, small phone booths, large training rooms while a variety of seating arrangements allows for different use spaces to coexist. Management’s desire was to also focus on a bright, pleasant and spacious lunch area to accommodate its staff while graphic design showcases impressive photographs of the company’s fleet from all over the world.
