Set within the verdant surroundings of North Athens, in a distinctive suburb of the city known for its elegant villas and mature greenery, A&M has completed a pair of private residences that re-imagine the area’s architectural identity through a contemporary lens.
Drawing on the layered history and architectural vernacular of nearby areas, the twin homes are conceived as modern interpretations of timeless design. Clean lines, pared-back geometries and subtle references to classical forms result in a duo of dwellings that feel at once rooted in place and purposefully forward-looking.
The project explores a delicate balance between dialogue and contrast, between the two buildings themselves, and between old and new. Framed sight-lines choreograph a visual narrative through the landscape, while the architectural language remains understated and enduring, offering a contemporary take on longevity and spatial clarity.
By embracing both context and innovation, A&M’s design brings a fresh sense of innovation to the area without compromising its storied character.
